Put your own email address in the “TO” box, and put the long list in “BCC”.
use the BCC line
Put all the 300 e-mail ids in the bcc section. the mail will go to all of them, but none will be able to see who all the mail was marked to. Just do a test with adding ur n ur boss and 1 or 2 other ppl’s mailids in the bcc field and send a test mail.. u’ll figure.
Good luck!
The BCC field leaps to mind (blind carbon copy).
each adressee will only see their address.
You didn’t say what email client you’re using but they’ll be similar in Outlook Express click create mail instead of placing the names or you group in the “To” filed place it in the “Cc” field, it stand for carbon copy and other email address’s aren’t visible to others of the group
You can do this two ways…
Send the email w/ your own email address in the to: field and everyone else in the bcc: (blind carbon copy) field.
When the receive the email, the will only see that it was sent to you – they won’t be able to see their own or anyone else’s email address.
You can also use Outlook to create an email mail merge as long as there is no attachment on the email. This will allow you to personalize each message and send it seperately to each person w/ minimal work.
You can get step by step instructions in the Microsoft help by typing ‘mail merge’
