Signing up someone’s email for email lists – illegal?

I happened to stumble on the email address of an evil person, and had some questions

1. How illegal is it to sign someone’s email up for an email list? I don’t mean **** or something illegal – I mean things like signing up a guy for the Victoria’s Secret list or for free tampon samples.

2. How do they track people like this, especially if you do it at a public library?

Holding down shift to delete multiple emails not working?

Does anyone happen to know why the method of deleting or moving multiple emails at one time by checking the first message > holding down shift > checking the last email, quits working? Still works fine on my other email account in AOL. Have tried multiple keyboard fixes but nothing.

I want to transfer my mail, addresses, folders from my old email domain to my new yahoo one. ?

I went to the yahoo mail help screen and it asked me my old email address and then it gave a list of domain addresses. But my old one (swbell.net) wasn’t one of the choices and it won’t let me type it in. Is it still possible to transfer everything over to my new yahoo email address?
